For how long can I use my existing eLicenser licenses?

You can use your eLicenser licenses as long as you like, and as long as the eLicenser Control Center and the latest available eLicenser-protected VSL Software is running on your operating system.

Note

If the eLicenser license server is not available at some point in the future, it will not be possible to transfer or replace any eLicenser licenses.

May I keep and use my existing eLicenser licenses?

Yes. Please keep ind mind that you have to decide between eLicenser and iLok. It is not possible to run both versions on the same computer.

May I sell my existing eLicenser licenses and only keep the iLok licenses?

No. Those licenses will always be “tandem”-licenses and cannot be transferred or sold individually.

Can I receive new iLok licenses as eLicenser license as well?

No, that is not possible. All new purchases will be handed out with iLok licenses exclusively.

Is my Vienna Protection Plan still valid?

No. We have stopped selling Vienna Protection Plans with our switch to iLok and all existing Vienna Protection Plans have expired by now. You might want to take advantage of the Zero Downtime coverage that is offered for iLok licenses.

Does a Vienna Protection Plan also exist for iLok licenses?

No. Vienna Protection Plans only applied to eLicenser licenses and ViennaKeys. Check out Zero Downtime and Theft & Loss Coverage which are available for iLok.

What happens if my eLicenser key gets broken/lost/stolen after the switch to iLok?

• This will be the perfect opportunity to switch to iLok, free of charge.
• eLicenser licenses on broken/lost/stolen keys will NOT be replaced.

I have lost my eLicenser key years ago - do I still get iLok licenses?

Yes, indeed. We will convert your eLicenser licenses to iLok licenses even if you don’t have the key that contains them anymore.
